I do not accept insurance, however, most PPO insurance plans will cover a percentage of services out-of-network. At the end of each month you will receive an email with a receipt for services (a superbill) that includes all the information needed for you to submit a claim to your insurance company. If you choose to use your out-of-network benefits you can submit a claim to your insurance company. It is not guaranteed that services provided will be covered by your specific insurance provider about your specific insurance plan. For information about reimbursement rates, contact your insurance provider about your specific out-of-network benefits. Here are some helpful questions to ask your health insurance representative to clarify your out-of-network benefits:
- Does my coverage include mental health services?
- Does my coverage include seeing an out-of-network provider?
- What is my deductible and must it be met before mental health services are covered?
- How many session per year are covered by my health plan?
- What is the amount of coverage per therapy session?
- Do I need a referral from my primary care physician to access my out-of-network benefits?
About Dr. Sherri
I'm married with three teenagers. Our family has had their share of trials and difficulties. So, I get it. Sometimes, we need a little extra help one-on-one with a professional and that's where I come in! I love to help people become the best version of themselves they can be! In addition to being a psychologist I am also a trained leadership and development coach who helps my clients not only overcome difficulties but thrive and become more of who they were uniquely designed to be.
I provide counseling and psychological testing services to youth and young adults. When working with young people, I prefer parents are involved and participate in parts of the sessions.
I am licensed in Ohio (but expanding this in later 2021) and specialize in clinical psychology. Many of the clients I work with are dealing with Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, OCD, ADHD, or major life stressors.
I'm also certified in Trauma-Focused CBT and work with children and teens who are victims of crime, natural disaster, and childhood abuse. I also work with kids who have been adopted, domestically or internationally. My middle child has profound autism, so I am also very familiar with medical issues and special needs families.
I collaborate with local public/private schools, churches, juvenile courts, and community groups to provide staff training, consultation, and parenting workshops on various mental health topics, as well as, leadership development for youth and adults. I work with the John Maxwell Team and provide trainings all over the United States and around the world to both youth and adults on leadership and personal growth. Email me if you'd like to learn more about what keynotes or workshops I can offer your school or organization.
Because I love having my hands in a variety of things, I also serve as the CEO for New Horizons for Children, an international orphan care program working with orphans in various parts of the world to impact and change their lives.
